Novenik is a “low-dose” combined oral contraceptive pill. It works by employing three layers of protection: it prevents the ovaries from releasing an egg (ovulation), thickens the cervical mucus to block sperm entry, and alters the uterine lining to prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg.
